how to choose camps

Qualification of the Native speakers

There are so many English-speaking camps where you my find Native Speakers. However, their qualification is questioned. They may be volunteers or students without any teaching and psyhological experience. Pay attention to camps where teachers native-speakers have international certificates like CELTA, TEFL, TKT. They will teach your child correct pronunciation, actual vocabulary, grammar rules, and provide

Consistent English practice

To make English easy to learn, it’s worth immersing your child in an English-speaking environment. That’s why the multiculturalism of the camp is important. It guarantees language practice outside the classroom, expands horizons, and develops communication skills. Practice should be ongoing: during English lessons, workshops, team projects, or sports activities. Overcoming the language barrier is much easier in a relaxed atmosphere than in individual lessons with a teacher.

Psychologist’s Advice: How to Prepare a Child for an English-Speaking Camp

  1. Surround your child with English before the camp: watch movies or favourite TV shows in the original language or spend time on hobbies in English. In a good language camp, children receive language practice in a comfortable atmosphere and learn in groups according to their test results and English proficiency level.
  2. To facilitate adaptation to a new environment, you can leave your child for an overnight stay with relatives or friends to experience staying without parents. The most important thing is to create an environment of support and a sense of security.
  3. If it’s difficult to get the child interested in anything other than gadgets, it’s worth offering them an interesting alternative: joint activities or artistic workshops.
